Give your Seeds a Head Start - How to Start Your Seeds Indoor
Sunday 8 June 2008 @ 2:51 pm

A great way to jump-start your garden and save money is to start your plants indoor before planting season. You will also be sure of the conditions the plants were grown in, unlike plants bought in stores. There are a few tricks to know to make your seedlings thrive.

To start, you must choose appropriate containers for your seedlings. The best ones to use are wood pulp pots or peat pellets. It’s less trouble for you and healthier on the seedlings, since you can plant them directly in the ground. But you can use any small containers, like egg boxes or yogurt containers. Just make sure there are holes at the bottom for drainage.

You must also fill the pots with appropriate soil. Any well-drained soil will do, but it is best to use sterilized, store-bought soil instead of soil from outside. This way, you can be sure it doesn’t contain any fungus or illness which could be dangerous for young plants. And you do not want to bring all the insects and worms from outside into your house!

You can now plant your seeds in the containers. Follow the instructions on the seed packages for depth. You do not need to put many seeds in a pot. Just a few will do.

You should now water your seeds. When you are done, cover the pots to conserve moisture and place them in a hot place. Keep them out of direct sunlight. They do not need any sunlight at this stage anyway, but keep an eye out to make sure they have enough water.

Once the seeds have germinated, they will need more sunlight. Move them to the brightest spot you can find, preferably a south-facing window. You will have to be even more careful now and water them often, since small pots cannot hold a lot of water. Also, the seedlings are fragile at this stage, so do not drown them or cause them to break by watering too fast.

If the seedlings get too big for their pots before planting season, you can move them to bigger pots to make sure they stay healthy and strong.

When you have a week or so to go before moving them to your garden, bring them outside during the day to harden them. Do not put them in direct sunlight at first and bring them back inside during the night.

And finally, when your plants have grown enough (with at least four leaves) and the weather is warm enough, you can move them to your garden.

If you did not plant them in pellets or wood pulp pots, you will need to remove them from their pot with a blunt tool, like a table knife, while you support the plant with your fingers. Dig a hole slightly deeper than the height of the pot, lower the plant in the hole and firm the soil gently around the stem. Water them carefully and your garden is ready to go!

Bird Watching - Writing What You See
Sunday 8 June 2008 @ 12:55 pm

No bird watcher is complete without his or her bird watching journals. When you go bird watching, you need to keep your life list.

The Life List

If you are or become an avid bird watching enthusiast, you’re going to need to keep records. The reason for this is you want to keep a running list of the various bird species you’ve seen. Since there are a zillion species, the list can become quite long. Frankly, it becomes a life long project that is very enjoyable. Trust me, you’ll start planning vacations and trips around it. A business trip will soon evolve into a chance to see new species.

Part and parcel to your bird watching life list is your journal. Some bird watchers combine these two while others keep them separate. The bird watching journal is used to fill out your sightings. Information kept in the journal includes things like where you were, whom you were with, the weather conditions, the lighting, time of day and your overall impressions from the sighting.

When keeping your journal and lists, you are going to have sightings of species you’ve seen previously. Most bird watchers will add such sightings to their journals, but not their life lists. The reason for this is there may be peculiar or significant factors in the sighting. Perhaps the bird is not typically found in the area in question or perhaps it is exhibiting some unique characteristic.

New Sightings

When it comes to bird watching, there is no greater joy then sighting a bird you have never seen before. Often called “life birds”, the sighting can be added to your life list and is a feather in your cap. When you first start watching birds, you’ll obviously have a lot of new sighting. As time passes, however, they will become less frequent and you will come to enjoy and value them even more.

Bird watching is an addictive hobby. Part of the thrill is watching your life list grow and reading through your journal of sightings.

You Can Read Minds!
Sunday 8 June 2008 @ 12:06 am

The Truth …

Lace every action with a thought; that’s the first cut in the key.

Assign every act with a series of options and select which of them was the most probable.
And you are absolutely correct; for this is the unlocking, the door beyond which reside all the secrets of perception.

There is no doubt, you are absolutely correct.
You are indeed reading minds.

You must think; you must have active and almost instant thought processes.
For speed and focus are vital, since in the mists of time lie forgetfulness and the distortion of truth and fact.

Do not risk time before you think.
Time dissipates the strength of the answer that comes through your power of perception, making you become dependent on substantial facts outside of yourself after the hesitation, for the weaker answers grow stronger and drown out the rest.

Trust in your inner voice. It is the channel of knowledge into your mind.
First it comes, swiftly it comes, and then the ‘rationalizations’ over other foreign voices you have gathered into your thoughts from your experience.

Trust only in yourself, and in your voice above the others.

Separate the others from your source; your source within, focus only on it and develop it with the voices that agree. They would have grown closer, and you will be able to embrace them, repelling the others from you, intimidating them out of existence.

Your thought comes to be. You have determined events. You have inserted your will into the big weave.

Reading the Thoughts of an External Mind …

The existence of a man is a weave composed of his thoughts and impulses.
He is at every second of the way, because of a reason.
He goes to the bathroom and passes out waste— because his body contains accumulated waste that must be expelled.
He may be delayed, but the thought beneath the surface, the need, endures however silent its voice becomes, until the opportunity to relieve his body comes at last.
All along the thought thrived. And the thought is the key to the future event that must come into being.

PRINCIPLE; Focus on the event/action to determine the thought/impulse that came before it, focus on the thought/impulse to determine the action. There is always a link however dubious the possibility might seem.

Therefore,
[1] No thought or action is isolate.

PRINCIPLE; Events and thoughts are linked, coming to be in groups, batches, growing into networks, like a growing family of inbreeds, all related to each other, all marrying each other, swirling in one blood, linking hands with each other.

[2] No thought or action is separated from a chain/sequence of thoughts and actions.

Therefore,

- by determining thoughts/impulses you can predict actions/events

- by identifying what actions/events mean you can determine thoughts/impulses, and read minds …

And,

- you determine the thoughts/impulses that come before actions/events to predict them [THINKING BACKWARDS FROM THE PRESENT TO MOVE FORWARD]

- you identify what actions/events mean i.e. by considering the reasons why they exist [working out the possible options that were available, the ones that were selected, and the most accurate reason why these particular actions/impulses emerged], painting a picture of thought from a paintbrush of action, and vice versa, reading thoughts, reading actions, reading minds.

Basically, determining thought and action is simply classifying the both into ‘the most probable reasons why they exist’.
Identifying and labeling.
Asking questions in your mind and answering them with the facts.

- What is he doing?

- He is in the bathroom relieving his body

- Why is he in the bathroom relieving his body?

- Because he determined in his mind that he needed to expel the waste matter in his body

And you develop,

- What is he doing now?

- He is in the bathroom relieving his body now

- Why is he in the bathroom relieving his body now?

- Because he considered in his mind that he needed to expel the waste matter in his body now

- Why now?

- It is impossible for him to hold it any longer than now

- He saw an opportunity to relieve his body now in the bathroom and so he took it

Then you think backwards,

Relieving[act]—Need to Relieve[thought]—Fill Up with Waste
Matter[act]—Need To Be Filled Up with Waste
Matter[impulse]—Consuming of Drink and or Food Material[act]—Need To Consume Food Material/Hunger[impulse/thought]—Work/Activity that Used
Body’s Energy[act/event]—Need For Work/Activity[impulse]—Consuming of Drink and or Food Material/Infusion of
Energy[act/event]—Thought/Impulse—Act/Event—THOUGHT—ACTION—THOUGHT—

In essence, it is a chain, like a sequence in math, with known and unknown factors.
Determine and identify the pattern, match the pattern with the most likely option in your series, amongst the thoughts that fill your mind, starting with the INNER VOICE THOUGHT, for your unconscious mind is much more accurate and swift than you, and proceeding.

The web begins to unfold.

For expanding this ‘chain theory’, every [act/event] relates to the rest of the [act/event]s, relates to the rest of the [thought/impulse]s, relates to the [thought/impulse] before the [act/event] and the [thought/impulse] that came after.

Interconnected by NEED, for NEED is the REASON WHY, the TRUTH, the LOGIC however illogical, the MOTIVE, and the FACT.

THE UNTRUTH

Distortion of the truth comes with MISREPRESENTING, WRONG PERCEPTION and INCORRECT DETERMINATION [consciously or otherwise].

Distortion is created by human nature; it is the human factor of perception, which is the faculty to gather other truths despite or in accordance with THE TRUTH delivered by the INNER VOICE.

To perceive, observe actions, identify reasons for thought, shut out the world and focus on the FIRST THOUGHT, weave the chain, remerge into the world, search for an identical sequence to the chain.
You read a mind as the chain fits it, you can predict future events by continuing the string of thought you have perceived.

Remembering,

There is a reason for every action

There is a reason for every thought

The answer explaining its existence to you simply by being in the thing that came before it, so that you trace the backwards pointing arrow, this reason why, the fact of the need for the action or thought to exist becoming our CONSTANT.

THE REASON WHY is always alerted by the NEED…
